Founded in 2014, Mudhalvan Chess Academy started with just 3 students in Erode. Today, we are Tamil Nadu’s fastest-growing chess family with 500+ students. We believe chess builds IQ, Focus & Decision-Making.
Our students have won 50+ District & State Level Championships, demonstrating the effectiveness of our scientific curriculum and personal coaching method.

The King: The Crown Jewel
The King is the most crucial piece on the chessboard. While it is not the most powerful in terms of raw movement range (moving exactly one square in any direction), the entire objective of the game revolves around its safety.
Checkmate & Castling: If the King is placed in a position where it is under direct threat of capture and cannot escape, it is checkmated, ending the game. To protect the King, players use a special defensive maneuver called castling, swapping positions with a Rook.
